Educational model

Our educational approach is rooted in relationships. Adults who are able to observe, listen and care create, day by day, the conditions that enable every girl and every boy to feel valued, safe and free to explore.
Educational care is woven into every moment of the day: planned activities, spontaneous play, and the routines of changing nappies, lunch and bedtime. It is through these daily interactions and experiences that children build trust, independence and an understanding of themselves and the world.
This care is complemented by a deliberate approach: we provide children with environments rich in experiences, encounters, materials and forms of expression, in which their curiosity and interests can become opportunities for discovery and learning.
Families are our allies. We believe that schools and parents should work together, sharing experiences and educational goals.
The foundations
The vision and principles that guide every decision we make
At the heart of our approach
We turn children’s natural curiosity into a drive to learn. Meaningful experiences, meaningful relationships and an environment that nurtures each child’s uniqueness: this is how we truly grow.
Reggio Approach
The Reggio Approach is based on a simple yet profound belief: every child is capable. Children are curious participants, capable of exploring and constructing meaning through the ‘hundred languages’: drawing, movement, music, language and play.
Intelligenze Multiple
Every child has their own talents, and there is no single type of intelligence. Our aim is to recognise and nurture each child’s uniqueness, treating them with respect and using their strengths as a springboard to develop all their other abilities.
How we learn every day
Active teaching methods that encourage experience, curiosity and participation.
Active and relational teaching
We learn better when we learn together. This is the idea behind our active learning approach: knowledge is built through experience, collaboration amongst children and dialogue with adults. Everyday experiences become opportunities to observe, experiment, form hypotheses and construct new meanings.
The role of nursery teachers
A close-knit team, united by a shared vision. They observe, listen and create rich learning environments, designed to stimulate curiosity and the pursuit of independence.
Teamwork, pedagogical supervision and continuous professional development support their work.
Natural bilingualism
Italian and English are an integral part of the children’s relationships, routines and everyday experiences from a very early age. Our schools offer bilingual Italian-English or ‘Full English’ programmes, using a natural approach that takes each child’s individual pace into account.
The Diaries
Documentation enables us to observe and record children’s learning processes through photographs, videos, words and observations.
The monthly class diary provides an insight into the group; the child’s diary contains the teachers’ observations on their progress and is given to the family at the end of the year.
Growing as people
Emotional and social skills, as well as a sense of independence, are developed from an early age.
Emotional and social skills
We help children to recognise, express and gradually manage their emotions. Through play and group activities, they learn to listen, work together, ask for help and resolve conflicts.
Potential orientation
From the very earliest years, we help every child to discover their interests, strengths and challenges. Experimenting, overcoming small obstacles and discovering new possibilities all help to build confidence and independence.
Nutrition education
Mealtimes are an experience of connection, enjoyment and growing independence, but also an opportunity to discover foods, flavours and habits that foster a healthy relationship with food.
Where can you learn?
Spaces and environments designed to encourage exploration, independence and discovery
Environments that educate
Our spaces are vibrant environments, designed to encourage children to explore, create and discover; they foster a sense of belonging and help them make sense of the world. Every environment becomes part of the learning process.
Outdoor Education
The outdoors is an integral part of learning. Gardens, parks and the local area offer opportunities to move around, explore, observe and experiment. Getting to know and experiencing these environments helps children to feel that they are part of their own world and to look after them.
The Atelier, a place of 100 languages
The workshop is a space where ideas take shape and knowledge expands through creative tools and forms of expression. We provide children with materials that foster creativity and imagination and help them to explore and develop new meanings.
The educational community
Schools, families and the local community working together for the children
Inclusion and equal opportunities
Every child must be able to participate and learn in a way that suits their individual characteristics and needs. The educational team, with pedagogical support and, where necessary, the support of families and external professionals, designs learning environments and strategies tailored to each child.
Schools and families: allies
For us, the family is a key partner. Schools and families have different roles but a shared goal: the development and wellbeing of children.
Discussions, meetings and time set aside for projects enable a relationship of trust and an educational partnership between the school and the family to be built up over time.
